A relaxed, jargon-free tasting

This isn't about rules or wine-speak. We'll guide you through how to taste, spot aromas and pair wine with food, so your group leaves more confident choosing wine. It's a fun night in, with a little learning thrown in.

French wine, or tailored to you

Our tastings focus on French wine, imported direct from family producers in Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Rhone Valley and beyond. Prefer something different? We also run bespoke events, including New Zealand wine tastings, built around your group and your occasion.

What we bring

Six wines, chosen to show a range of regions and styles. Your selection can include organic or award-winning wines.
Glasses and spittoons for everyone.
Tasting notes for each wine.
A cheese platter to pair with the wines.

What we ask of you, the host

A comfortable space for 6 to 10 guests, seated or standing.
Jugs of water for rinsing glasses and staying hydrated.
Any extra nibbles you'd like to add (optional).
Any allergies we should know about, for example dairy in the cheese platter.
Any wine or cheese preferences (optional).

Good to know

Tastings last up to 2 hours.
Pours are sample sizes only.
All guests must be 18 or over.
Please arrange transport home in advance. We're happy to help you plan this.

How much does a private wine tasting cost?
Every event is bespoke, so pricing depends on your requirements. Get in touch and we'll send a tailored quote.

Do you only do French wine?
French wine is our speciality, but we can also run tastings of New Zealand wines or a mix, on request.

Which areas do you cover?
We run tastings in homes across Auckland.

Can we book a tasting for a work or team event?
Yes. Tastings work well for team events, client evenings and celebrations. Just tell us about your venue and group.

How far ahead do I need to book?
At least one week, subject to availability.
