Brotte Baies Dorees Viognier

A Pays d'Oc Viognier from Maison Brotte, made from 100% Viognier grown on silty-clay terroir in the Gard. Sustainable viticulture and an early-morning harvest. Around 20,000 bottles are made.

Tasting notes

• Appearance: palegolden-yellow.
• Nose: fresh and intense, with apricots, peaches and jasmine. With age it develops dried apricots, acacia honey, quince and ripe peaches.
• Palate: fresh and soft, with apricots and wild peaches. With age it becomes fatter, with dried apricots and honey.

Winemaking

Gentle pneumatic pressing and cold settling, then alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats at 16-20°C. Aged 3 months on the fine lees in concrete and stainless steel vats.
