Brotte Les Murets Côte Rôtie

A Côte Rôtie from Maison Brotte, made from 100% Syrah in the northern Rhône. Sustainable viticulture, green pruning and a hand harvest. A very small production of around 1,800 bottles a year.

Tasting notes

• Appearance: crimson with purplish tints.
• Nose: intense and fine, with raspberries, blackcurrants, blackberries, vanilla, liquorice and floral notes of violets.
• Palate: a fine, delicate texture with a great deal of softness, showing blackcurrants, blackberries and violets. Excellent length and cellar-ageing potential.

Winemaking

Fermented at 25°C with gentle extraction by punching down the cap and pumping over, followed by 3 weeks of maceration. Aged 12 months in oak barrels previously used for 2 or 3 fills and bottled with a light filtration.
