Brotte Versant Doré Condrieu

A Condrieu from Maison Brotte, made from 100% Viognier grown in the northern Rhône. Sustainable viticulture, green pruning to reduce yields, and a hand harvest transported in small crates. A rare wine, with only around 3,000 bottles made each year.

Tasting notes

• Appearance: pale golden-yellow and bright.
• Nose: very complex, intense and fresh, with apricots, peaches, sweet almonds and vanilla. With age it moves to dried apricots, honeysuckle, acacia honey, quince jelly and ripe peaches.
• Palate: soft and fat, with limes, apricots and wild peaches. With age it gains roundness and elegance, dried apricots, ripe yellow fruit, acacia honey, vanilla and lemon peel, with a beautiful length.

Winemaking

Gentle pneumatic pressing and 12 hours of cold settling, followed by 20 days of alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation. Vinified and aged 9 months in French oak barrels, then bottled under inert gas.
